Kathy Heaton, OTR - Kathy has been a practicing Occupational Therapist for 30+ years with her specialty lying in Neurological Rehabilitation. She received her degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and she has since completed an additional certification in Neuro-Developmental skills. Kathy has worked with hands for many years and can address issues with the hand through splinting
and specific functional activities. Before joining Saint Thomas Outpatient Rehabilitation, Kathy worked in a school system working with kids struggling with developmental issues, and she still feels comfortable treating kids today.
Bharati Gokhale - Bharati has 22 years of experience as a physical therapist. She holds her Master in Health Science with a Physical Therapy concentration from the University of Indianapolis, and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Bharati has additional training in Pelvic Floor Therapy and Maitland Mobilization. Bharati enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids.
Jane Knight, Speech-Language Pathologist - Jane received her Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from St. Louis University. Her practice revolves around treating people with neurological disorders, aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive deficits and swallowing issues. Jane has 25+ years’ experience treating these conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Melissa Kirby, Speech-Language Pathologist - Melissa is a speech-language pathologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of voice and resonance disorders in both children and adults. She graduated with a B. S. from Abilene Christian University and a M. S. from Vanderbilt University. She has been seeing voice patients in Nashville for over 19 years. She has also been an adjunct professor for Vanderbilt Graduate School, teaching the Craniofacial Anomalies course for 10 years. Melissa has treated many of the most famous names in all genres of the music industry. Other than working from her clinic office, she has done on- the-road voice consulting as well as in the studio. She has spoken on many voice topics at numerous national, regional, and state conferences, and completed inservices for music educators, church choirs and other organizations. Along with recording/ leading worship with the Zoe Group, Melissa enjoys reading and travelling with her wonderful husband and children.
Peggy Poag, PT - Peggy completed her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences. Peggy has 33+ years of experience and has additional certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation. She has special interest in treating patient with adult neurological disorders, correcting balance issues and working on fall prevention methods. Peggy is a certified clinical instructor and works with future physical therapy students to gain hands on experience.
Rachel Morton, PT - Rachel has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Abilene Christian University, and she completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Belmont University in 2008. Since finishing at Belmont, Rachel has treated both neurological and orthopedic patients. During her free time, Rachel enjoys snow skiing, weight lifting and visiting Mellow Mushroom.
