Charitable Contributions

As part of the demonstration of its Mission and Values, MTMC devises a Care of the Poor and Community Benefit Plan each year. Rooted in community needs assessments, MTMC seeks to make an impact in the community’s health by working with organizations that provide a safety-net for the vulnerable. This is accomplished through hospital initiatives such as our Dispensary of Hope, vital collaborations with organizations such as the Primary Care and Hope Clinic of Rutherford County, and financial support to key organizations such as Special Kids, Inc. and the Child Advocacy Center. MTMC's efforts emphasize access to quality, safe healthcare that promotes and improves the holistic health of individuals and communities and are accompanied by outcome measurements to show effectiveness and sound stewardship.

In 2008, MTMC provided more than $14 million in charity care. This included grants to local agencies that support MTMC’s areas of focus.
