The Diabetes Center at Middle Tennessee Medical Center has a dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to serving your diabetes needs. The goal of the center is to give patients the ability to control their disease, avoid complications and achieve optimum health status by providing comprehensive diabetes self-management education. MTMC offers an accredited range of inpatient and outpatient diabetes services. The Diabetes Center has a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to help individuals manage their disease through education, positive reinforcement and ongoing support. The center offers self-management plans tailored to the specific needs of each person, including:

  • Programs designed for individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, or pregnant women with existing diabetes
  • Education team that includes certified diabetes educators, registered nurses, registered dietitians and nurse practitioners
  • Classes available mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends with required physician referral and pre-registration
  • Diabetes Support Group offered for adults to share information, inspiration, learning opportunities and activities on a monthly basis
