2008 - Received the Get With The Guidelines - Stroke (GWTG - Stroke) Gold Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
2008 - Received a $1.75 million grant from the Christy-Houston Foundation for the implementation of a robotic surgery program which includes the purchase of a da Vinci Surgical System.
2008 - Received a 5-star rating for Hip Fracture Repair and the treatment of Pancreatitis.
2008 - Held the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new $267 million hospital

2007 – According to the Tenth Annual HealthGrades Hospital Quality in America Study, Middle Tennessee Medical Center holds a 5-star rating for spinal fusion surgery with Center for Spinal Surgery ranking #1 in the state
2007 - the first hospital in Rutherford County that has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers.
2007- Awarded accreditation from The Joint Commission.
2007 - The Society of Chest Pain Centers granted Middle Tennessee Medical Center a three year re-accreditation as a Chest Pain Center.
2007 - Awarded a Three-Year with Commendation approval from The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC).
2007 – Received the Get With The Guidelines - Stroke (GWTG - Stroke) Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
2006 - Given approval from the State’s Health Services and Development Agency (HSDA) to build a new Medical Campus that will replace the existing MTMC facility.
