SENTIS Randomized Stroke Trial

To compare the effect of the NeuroFlo™ catheter for use in patients with ischemic stroke. The NeuroFlo device is intended to increase blood flow to the brain and potentially reduce damage caused by stroke. The study is potentially available to acute ischemic stroke patients within the first 14 hours after stroke onset.

RESPECT Stroke Trial

To investigate whether closure of a PFO - patent foramen ovale (a hole in the heart which normally closes shortly after birth) by implanting a device, is superior to current standard of care medical treatment by medications in the prevention of recurrent embolic stroke.

IMS3 Stroke Trial
Status: 80-90% of initial paperwork done; Pending Grant Application. PENDING eRA Commons data base access.

This trial, currently on hold pending grant application, is designed to determine if IA tPA and/or Merci Retrieval is superior to the traditional IV tPA. This study is randomized to either IV tPA or IA tPA/Merci Retrieval.

MERCI Registry Stroke Trial
Status: Eighty percent of the initial paperwork is completed. This study directly corresponds to IMS3 clinical trial and is dependent on IMS3 obtaining eRA Commons and completed Grant Application
